The Medicine of Saying “Pussy” – 010

December 11, 2019

Podcast

Did you grow up calling your genitals some variation of va-jay-jay or some other gibberish? Maybe you didn’t even have a singsong word to refer to your genitals as. Maybe you just motioned and said “down there.” So, of all the words and gestures available to us, why say “pussy”?

Well, my beautiful radiant goddess: naming matters. How can we take seriously what we don’t have a proper name for? And, most importantly, one that we can use with respect, love, pride, ownership, and endearment… AND one that isn’t scientific or only refers to a portion of the female genitals and not the whole.

In today’s episode, I’m taking a deep dive into nomenclature and sharing exactly why I choose to say “pussy” and not other words like “vagina,” “vulva,” and “yoni.”

Saying “Pussy” Heals

Saying “pussy” isn’t just a part of the healing process, it drives the healing. If you choose to step out into the wilderness with us wild goddesses, especially if you had an upbringing like mine (check out my full story in episode 5 – From Chastity to Tantrica: My Ascension into Wildness), saying “pussy” will completely rock your world. Everything that you had neatly tied up in a pretty bow will be cracked wide open. What you thought you desired and what you thought you knew will be flipped on the head.

This is a journey back to YOU, Dragoness. And this is the first step. It’s simple. It’s profound. It may even scare the shit out of you. It’s this: Say “pussy.”

What You’ll Learn

  • Why I choose to say “pussy” and not “vagina,” “vulva,” or “yoni”
  • The cultural implications of reclaiming and redefining the word
  • The healing that takes place when you dare to reclaim “pussy”
  • How names and words can be medicine
  • Why the patriarchy isn’t to blame for your feelings of shame, limitation, and/or lack of ownership and celebration of your pussy and sexuality… and who’s really responsible!
  • What you gain access to when you reclaim it!

Ready to learn how to effectively self-soothe as an adult? Ok, roll up your sleeves, but first… I have a confession. I used to self-soothe with food, binge watching, and even my schoolwork and excessive reading. On the surface, as a little girl who was masking her depression very well, I appeared “shy.” I would […]
